I highly recommend their Patient Monitoring Program. My A1C recently rose to 7.1 and Dr. Kaye enrolled me in their Remote Patient Monitoring program. I Checked my blood glucose daily and the results were sent directly to their office. Justyna, director of the program, called me monthly to monitor my progress and discuss ways to modify my diet, exercise and lifestyle. My A1C was reduced to 6.6 in just three months. I highly recommend their Patient Monitoring Program. - Anonymous

Your positivity, knowledge, ideas, and encouragement to improve my A1C are so helpful Your positivity, knowledge, ideas, and encouragement to improve my A1C are so helpful. Also, you made me aware of some side effects of the medication I take daily. I have a question for you: I know what to do when my glucose is too high-drink lots of water and exercise, but when it is too low what is the best way to bring it up other than CHOCOLATE? Look forward to talking to you again next month. Thanks again. - Anonymous

Job well done I know of many type 2 people that "cheating" has become part of their daily living. That being said, I feel that the monthly monitoring calls give people like me the needed strength to consider each meal as an opportunity to do the right thing. I thank you after each meal throughout the day for a job well done. - Anonymous

Very Grateful I have been a diabetic patient of Dr. William Kaye for several years. I have always had a great respect for Dr. Kaye, although I have not always been very compliant. Recently, Dr. Kaye suggested that I try a new approach to handling my diabetes, a couple of new medications, and meeting with Ines to discuss my medications and how to correctly take them. I met with Monica, Dr. Kaye’s dietician who discussed the correct nutritional habits for a diabetic and a class that lasted from 9 to 5 that pulled everything that I learned all together for me and suddenly made perfect sense. I am very excited about this program that was a must before I could begin my new medication regimen. I am excited to see the results of my effort and I am very grateful to Dr. Kaye for suggesting this to me. - Anonymous

Thank You Dr. Horowitz Dear Dr. Horowitz I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of Arielle! For the first time since the year 2008, I no longer feel I have to worry about her Diabetes! I am so grateful to have fully placed her care in your very capable hands. The two of you, with her pretty pink pump, have managed to stabilize her blood sugars to nearly a flat line, without the very scary lows and inevitable spikes that I would see when we were relying on injections. An in addition, I am also grateful that Arielle feels very comfortable, encouraged, and safe with you, Vanessa, and Tracy. You and your very professional practice have truly been a blessing in our lives! - Mimi deChabert

Thank You All… I am a 76 year old woman who has had Diabetes for the past twenty years. Recently my blood sugar counts went completely out of whack and I became frightened. Remembering how I gave my mother daily insulin injections, I did not want this procedure to take over my life. Well, I have to express my thanks to Palm Beach Diabetes & Endocrine Specialists for their help. I thought I knew it all on how to keep myself under control. Oh was I wrong. First the Doctor reevaluated and readjusted my medication. Then I attended two very informative classes where Diabetes was explained in great detail. The exchange of thoughts with the other attendees gave me great insight of myself and what I had been doing up to then. This was followed by two one-on-one sessions with a very knowledgeable nutritionist who answered all my special questions. Then came the best learning tool ever. I attended a Supermarket Tour with a counselor from your office. I learned to properly read food labels, to understand the size of portion control, and one can still eat. Publix also gave out some very interesting literature on varied food items and products. In the past twenty years, I have attended many courses, schools, workshops, and sessions privately and community based. None ever taught me or helped me as this integrated program. My husband was able to attend all these sessions with me so helps me greatly now. I have lost some weight, as I should. The greatest point is that my medication is being reevaluated. Again, I thank you all for making my life livable. - Anonymous

Tremendously Better I have had diabetes for a number of years. Originally, I took oral diabetes medicines, and my diabetes was fairly easy to control. As time went by and I got older, I gained a lot of weight, and my primary care doctor added insulin to my regimen because the oral medication was not doing an adequate job handling my blood sugar. I even attended some hospital sponsored nutrition classes that my internist prescribed, but I did not get much out of them. This year, my Hemoglobin A1C topped out at 12.4, and my internist said that I was seriously out of control, as my health really started to go downhill. My weight was 346-pounds, my libido was gone, I was losing sensation in my swollen ankles and feet, neuropathy had started in my hands, and I was on high doses of insulin without effectiveness, with blood sugars in the 300s. My internist warned me of how dangerous that my out-of-control diabetes was, and that I might need an insulin pump! My internist referred me to Dr. William Kaye for assessment and management of my diabetes approximately 6-months ago. Since seeing Dr. Kaye and attending and following the “Living Well with Diabetes 1-2-3 Program with Mindfulness,” my weight has come down to 312-pounds and my Hemoglobin A1C is down to 6.5 (Dr. Kaye has told me that my goal was to get below 7). My insulin has been already adjusted 40 units lower, and my oral diabetes medicine has been changed to one that is more effective. My internist is impressed with the progress I have made and reduced my blood pressure medications since my B/P has improved as well. The weight loss has helped in reducing my chronic back and knee pains. I am looking forward to losing more weight this year so that I am in a better range for my 6-foot 2-inch frame, and hopefully, make additional progress reducing my diabetes medications even more. Thanks to Dr. Kaye, his Certified Diabetes Educator’s, and the “Diabetes 1-2-3 Program” I am feeling tremendously better day by day. I recommend Dr. Kaye and this program to anyone who is serious about managing and improving his or her diabetes. - Anonymous

Happy & Healthy My name is Carol Cohen and I am just like all of you. Fifteen years ago I was shocked to wake up to a new disease to me, Diabetes. The only thing I knew for sure was that this disease was a mystery to me. I was advised by my internist to attend a diabetes education class to be more aware of my new “problem.” I attended a diabetes education class at a local hospital, which was before I realized that I also needed to be seen by an Endocrinologist. When I found Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists, I was amazed to find out what I did not know! There was much more to learn than the little amount of information I had been taught from my initial class. During my fifteen years, I have learned not only from my own experience, but also from classes attended right here at Palm Beach Diabetes that helped me focus on ways to control my blood sugar numbers by watching what I eat, exercising, and most important, knowing how to count carbohydrates. The program that is offered at Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists is so important for you to stay healthy while having Diabetes. As a patient here, it is your responsibility to attend workshops that will help you stay healthy and happy. SIGN UP TODAY! - Anonymous

Yours Is The Best Office I Have Visited Since I Moved To Florida Six Months Ago. I am very pleased that my new friend, Rhoda Brenner, gave me your contact information and a referral. Yours is the best office I have visited since I moved to Florida six months ago. In the future, I will not send messages, unless it is essential, but I was so pleased to meet you and your staff, that I just had to send this message. Your health portal is similar to what I have become accustomed to at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, now called Sutter Health. Thank you for living in the 21st century. - Anonymous

He Had Me Rush To See A Cardiologist. 28 MAR HE HAD ME RUSH TO SEE A CARDIOLOGIST. I first met Dr Kaye in 1998 when I returned from a business trip with pain in my back. He had me rush to see a cardiologist and within a short time I was having a quadruple bypass. It was his attentiveness that proved life saving for me. It’s always been about the patient and not limited to his specialty that distinguishes him from other physicians. He always treats the total patient. I can’t recommend him more highly as a physician who truly cares about his patients. - Anonymous

Friendly, Knowledgeable & Caring After being told that I had a Thyroid Issue I researched Dr’s that treated my issue. After determining that Dr Kaye looked like by best option I called and made an appointment. As busy as this office is they were able to get me in within a week of my call. Once I arrived I was greeted by a friendly and efficient lady that handled all of my forms and insurance quickly. Soon after an even friendlier nurse came and brought me to the examination room and took care of all my vitals. When Dr Kaye came in he was beyond friendly, knowledgeable, and caring! He diagnosed and addressed my issue quickly and accurately. I have been seeing him for over 1 1/2 years and every time I come in he takes the time to examine and explain to me all that’s going on with my issue. >Going to see Dr’s are not my favorite thing to do, but I actually look forward to seeing Dr Kaye!! I live in Pompano Beach which is an hour south of his office. Dr Kaye is well worth the drive for me to be treated! - Anonymous

Kind, Professional Problem Solver I would like to share my experience with Dr. William Kaye. Dr. Kaye has been kind, professional, and a problem solver from day one. Dr. Kaye always answers my questions and has been very encouraging with my weight loss. I have lost 6 pounds in 2 months and Dr. Kaye is excited for me! It means so much to have the support of a health care professional when in the process of getting healthy. All of the support staff that I have dealt with at the West Palm office have all gone out of their way to be accommodating. Their customer service is second to none. I finally feel that I am in the right place for my health care needs. - Anonymous
