On February 3, Dr. Gary Pepper lectured to the doctors of the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach on “Update on the Treatment of Hypothyroidism.” As a teaching hospital staff doctors and trainee resident doctors were in attendance. The purpose of the lecture was to cover the standard diagnosis and treatment approaches for thyroid disease but in addition, to raise awareness of alternatives to the traditional Synthroid only approach. Included in Dr. Pepper’s lecture were results of the latest research regarding treatment of hypothyroidism. Two of these studies were conducted by Dr. Pepper and his colleagues at Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists., Dr. Paul Romero-Casanova and Kathryn Reynolds.
